Island Bound Traveller            Writer, Storyteller
Gary Grieco is a freelance writer, avid reader, sailor, and motorcycle enthusiast based on Texada Island, British Columbia, Canada.
Biography -
Gary Grieco made a career decision as a young man to focus his energies on the corporate life rather than editing the glossy Manitoba Junior Chamber of Commerce Magazine. He married and raised a family in Winnipeg. His passion for writing during this period in his life was confined to his personal journals, where he recorded his many sailing adventures on the stormy waters of Lake Winnipeg.

At age 40, Gary left a successful career in the corporate world to return to his passion of writing. He and his wife moved to magical island of Saltspring, BC. They built a cedar cottage surrounded by an orchard, and Gary wrote a childrens book titled the Magic Glade for his new grandson. They sailed the Salish Sea for many years in the 30 foot sloop, Island Bound,he  both designed and built. Today, they live on the lush northern Gulf Island called Texada Island, situated five miles off the Sunshine Coast City of Powell River.

His freelance features have appeared in a variety of print publications including:Pacific Yachting, Gam on Yachting, 50Plus, RV Times, Province Travel Section, Vancouver Senior Living, Powell River Living, Swedish Press, Texada Lines, Fifty and Beyond, InFocus, Fiddler Magazine, and CBC, On the Road Again.

Gary enjoys sharing his knowledge and has formally and informally mentored many individuals throughout his business and writing career.
